Meditation doesn’t have to be serious and formal. My school of Buddhism – Soto Zen – tends to be rigid in appearance, but informal in approach. Zazen is just “sit” – nothing else is involved. In life, it’s when we add our own desires that we suffer. Sitting 15 minutes a day helps achieve a supple mind.
