What I want 8 months ago

A boss or management team that treats me with respect, who thinks that treating employees well will create better employees and who communicates to me about important things they want me to know about. A job that will respect the fact that you need the money and they believe a good employee is a well-rounded employee-one that also has time for family/friends/hobbies. Vacation time and a job that allows a good ratio of work done and hours worked. A boss who has confidence in me, is patient while teaching me, who understands different learning styles and who isn’t overly-dependent on my feedback as a reflection of themselves. A boss who has ways of seeing how I’m doing by self-assessment or feedback from others observations.

The trickle down effect from a positive boss will create positive co-workers who work with each other. Which create a positive environment and a positive business. One that does what they are supposed to do, follows labor laws, equal opportunity employer, up to OSHA standards, files taxes and goes over the paperwork with employee to make sure they understand everything, or otherwise an organized lawful business whose fixed procedures are clear and open in communication yet efficient. A business that follows a positive business model therefore they can trouble-shoot better and come up with solutions easier.

To me this means being a co-creator of my reality 2 years ago

As I understand it co-creation stems from the concept of wanting to live a spiritual life in tune with God while at the same time actively creating what you want in your life. It’s not about giving up free will, but using it within a spiritual belief. It is about working within the moment you occupy(=free will) which is a part of a larger whole.(=fate)

Attitude really is everything 2 years ago

At that defining age back in early adolescence I read about The Law of Attraction and although I understood it I brushed it off. I needed more proof, I couldn’t be positive yet and/or I just wasn’t mature enough.

Later on I came across some articles written about the Law of Attraction from a psychological perspective and I got it. The way you think effects your mood, your choices, your actions etc. I saw it everywhere I went in others words or actions and then began to see it in my own actions. After a while I noticed enough bad things (self-fulfilling prophecies) that I had produced for myself and could even trace back the things I said to myself or did for those unpleasant things to happen. The law of attraction exists on it’s own and works from you by what you put into it, (whether it’s a law from God, science or the human mind) so no doubt I eventually saw that it worked. Just not in the way that I wanted.

From the free Abraham-Hicks MP3s on their website I realized that most importantly it’s the feeling you put into something. I got the most negative results by the amount of fear I put into something. “Oh no, oh no, I’m gonna fall down the stairs!” really actually did lead me to paying less attention and falling or soon thereafter. Saying to myself “I’m gonna make it, I’m gonna make it” before shooting a ball into a basket seem to lead me to focus on my aim better.

Energy was another educated notion on my behalf that hasn’t kicked in til now. I’ve heard this is the “mystical” or “God” part of the law of attraction that requires faith. There’s a lot to this law that I’ve heard over and over again and yet there’s still some information that I’m trying to get.

Currently “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles is giving me a good view of Mother Nature/God/energy= “The Formless stuff” I enjoy how diverse and all-encompassing the language is.
