read all the books I have before buying even one more

I read Fight Club, which I bought. It was too good to put down in the store, so I just bought it. Also, I finished Amusing Ourselves to Death, which I had been working on in the bookstore on lunch break for some time. Not something I bought, but not something I own either.

I’m reading three books right now, only one of which I own. Plato’s Republic is the one I own. Im almost done Neuromancer, which I’m borrowing from a friend, and started Haunted, by Chad Palahniuk in the bookstore on lunch break.

I just finished The Runes of the Earth by Stephen R. Donaldson. I’ve read the original six Covenant books and even though it’s been something like 20 years since their publication, this last book continues the series seamlessly. I don’t think that it’s my favorite book in the series, but it was a worthy successor. I can’t wait until the next installment near the end of 2007.

I just counted and I have 66 books to read. Not bad. By the time I get to the 66th book, it’s likely that I’ll have another 66, but I’ll try to supress that.
