I admit that I’m not a big stickler for personal hygeine. (Apparently, I can’t even spell the word.) I have way too many cavities to think about, I have no problem wearing the same two pair of jeans for weeks at a time, and if my hair’s too dirty to be presentable, I wear a cap until I feel like washing it…which might be a few days later. I rarely wear deoderant unless it’s the dead of August, and just generally I don’t spend much time grooming or preening.
That being said… so help me, I will go batty if I run out of Q-tips. I clean my ears more than any person I know. It’s one of the little neuroses that make me so endearing.
At least, that’s what I tell myself at Walgreens.
I love Q-tips.

I can’t help getting a little panicked after I reach the halfway point of a book I like (“Oh NO! It’s already half done!”), but I love looking at how far I still have to read, and realising that I’m not even close to the end yet.
It’s a great promise of an enjoyable evening with characters I already love.

I listen to Neil Young, and again I’m eight years old—lying on the living room floor with my cheek pressed to the carpet, listening to the gentle hum of the window fan and “Heart of Gold” on a hot summer evening, my dad in a nearby chair.
It’s wonderful.

My sister thinks I’m gross, and my boyfriend says he’s never heard of them, but I LOVE Handi-Snacks! They’re my favorite junk food. (My mom bought me some as a New-Year’s treat, and I’m still pumped about it. I hid them behind the bread box so my little brothers wouldn’t be able to find them and eat them.)
Thin hard breadsticks and salty plastic cheese spread. Yum!

They’re pretty much my favorite animal. They’re gigantic rodents, literal R.O.U.S.s (but much less vicious). I grew up visiting a pair at the Racine Zoo (and a few years ago, there were baby capybaras there! You wouldn not BELIEVE the cuteness.)
So I’ve always known about them, but it seems few other people have heard of them. I’m always excited when I see a reference to one. It makes my day.

I love snow that falls in thick, dry flakes, and coats the ground like a thousand pounds of opalescent glitter. The kind that you can scoop up in your hand, toss into the air, and watch fall again, just as magical as the first time. Like you’re in your own personal snow-globe.

I love stickers. I love getting stickers, I love buying stickers, I love using stickers, I love giving stickers away, I love having stickers.
I have a collections of stickers like you would not believe.
Stickers definitely make me happy.

Truly, the most delicious kind of apple, ever. Sweet, crisp, crunchy, fresh, brightly colored!
Sweeter than Granny Smith, crisper than Gala, more inviting that Braeburn, and just all around BETTER than Red Delicious (but then, what apple isn’t?)
Seriously delicious. The one apple I could eat daily to keep away the proverbial doctor.

Sometimes I just take off my sandals and walk back to my dorm barefoot. It feels so nice.
Free feet are happy feet. :)
