improve my spanish

I’ll be in Peru for 2 weeks :) They have several Spanish language schoos there for incredible prices…. 2 weeks of spanish language school plus all of your housing and food with a Puruvian family for $200. You can’t even get a hotel for anywhere near that!! The hike to Machu Picchu is what’s going to be more expensive. You have to hire a guide and get permits. At least the guides provide your tents and food and everything like that… but that costs around $600… Ahh well…. This trip is gonna be amazing :) I seriously don’t know how I’m gonna wait a whole year!

I totally thought this was something that was gonna be on the backburner for a while but I was helping my mom with her spanish homework today and she had some sheet that had a website for spanish speaking pen pals so I checked it out and signed up! Haha, it’s been so long I’m sure what ever I’m trying to say isn’t gonna make much sense! We’ll see…. Oh yeah… and so I’m thinking… after I’m done with school I would really like to maybe go work as a nurse in a spanish speaking country and study spanish… that way after a while I could come home and be a little more fluent and be a little more useful as a nurse… Oh my god I have so many random plans and things I want to do… I’d better live to be 200 to get everything done :) But for now… one step at a time… finish nursing school first!

I feel like I completely wasted so much time and effort and money. I took Spanish all 4 years in high school, 2 years in college, and did a foreign exchange program where I lived in Mexico and I used to actually be pretty fluent. I just haven’t used it in so long I feel like I’m forgetting so much of it. I mean, I can still get my point across when I’m trying to speak, but I’d really like to work on it and not completely forget everything I learned. I’d like to take a class but I just don’t know when I’d have time or money for that. I’m gonna have to think of something….
