I’ve got 123 days (17 weeks) to meet the deadline, so far I have lost 20 pounds in 10 weeks (dec 5th to feb 14th) on a low fat vegan diet without exercise therefore by adding physical activity i hope to lose 40 more on time! (around 2 pounds per week)

for the most part i am doing fine… however the weight loss has slowed down in the last few weeks as i let down my guard. i want to exercise everyday for this month and learn to cook great low-fat vegan recipes because i am resorting to not-so-slow food alternatives often and my mood hasn’t been so great lately and i don’t take spontaneous walks anymore.
i am following a mix of fuhrman’s, ornish’s and macdougall’s plan. basically i eat nutritious, hearty vegan food that’s low on fat (ideally under 2g per serving but waiving that when it’s ocurring naturally as in avocados) i am trying to switch the emphasis from whole grain carbs (pasta, bread & oats) onto vegetables.

I just added a clause stating I’ll spend a month away from the internet if I don’t lose all of the extra weight I carry. So far, I’ve lost 7 kilos since dec 5th and I still carry many more with me before I reach my target weight of 50. If nothing else, it just saved me from a craving by picturing a month away from my favourite addiction.

From dec. 5th to jan 5th I`ve lost 11 pounds on a low fat vegan diet. (holiday on the beach and all) still many pounds to lose, but I feel happy and motivated. good luck to all with this goal!

Step 1.- going from vegetarian to vegan and buying healthy things to cook for the week. DONE
Step 2.- getting measuring tape and a kitchen balance to weigh portions. TBD Today.
Step 3.- joining the darn gym. TBD Tomorrow (no, really)
Step 4.- Measuring and weighing myself, keep eating healthy food and getting myself to gym.
Step 5.- making a lifestyle out of it.
