Breathing well – although forgot to take 12 hour mucinex D before bedtime and woke up terribly congested – have to remember it’s worthwhile getting myself out of bed when I finally do remember to make the night’s sleep more comfortable and be better rested during the day.

The building engineer came to my office and agreed to arrange for more air ciculation in the office. Problem is, he says the air coming in is 63 degrees F. – I’d like to breathe w/o congestion, but this cold stale air isn’t helping. Company is trying to save energy costs and therefore keeping things cold. Apparently we can buy space heaters, however, which will up electricity – whatever it takes to breathe – because it’s 2 degrees F. today, the office is being kept quite warm (worry about pipes freezing). Can’t win in Chicago winters. I would hate to have sinus surgery if my main problem is getting infections from students and poor air circulation isn’t helping.
slept most of the weekend – went out Friday afternoon, Saturday night, and Sunday morning – that was pretty much it. Came in 3 hours late to work today – couldn’t lift my head off the pillow – 2 days left of antibiotics – hope this turns around soon (or hope Dr. finds a way to diagnose and treat this thing!)
Could it be from the stair climbing yesterday? Or illness? Or sick building – very discouraging – chief engineer called to say we have the same air quality as anyone else in the building (note – he didn’t say “good”). I just don’t feel well – still sinus infection I think – this building isn’t helping!!!
one baby step in the exercise plan – using the washroom on the second floor – climbing that flight every time – wonder how long it will take to climb 1,000 flights? (If there’s time and energy I can always climb to the 3rd floor)
