List my 43 favourite words

i not only love the spelling of this word…its so Interesting-looking…but the sound and essense. It can be defined as:

• foolishly impractical in the pursuit of ideals

• marked by rash lofty romantic ideas

• extravagantly chivalrous action

i live to be Quixotic….

Possible words to consider for my fav’s; give myself a place to list them whilst i decide :)

As a writer / poet….i love words. I remember making lists of favourite words in 6th and 7th grade. And as a Very bad speller, i also fell in love with etymology as i tried to memorize patterns to spell words correctly. (what really occurred is i just could recognize what i’d misspelled, & look it up….but not spell it correctly the first time)(lol)
At any rate…i love learning word histories and origins, original meanings and their changes in usage. So it’ll be interesting for me to narrow it down to my Top 43….

1. l’etoile

it’s the french word for star, but i Love the way it sounds. i love the way it looks…i think it’s how star Should be spelled. :) It also has a secondary meaning of “the central point where several paths meet…”

i love the idea of a place where all paths could meet…
