learn calligraphy

...just found a local class on Calligraphy at a nearby “Michaels Craft Store”. and since i feeling abit more financially with the new job, i ‘m going to sign up! It’s this coming tuesday:

Calligraphy Class

‘Learn the wonderful art of calligraphy
that you can use to add the perfect touch to cards, invitations, scrapbooks, and more!

6:30pm to 8:30 pm – $15 – materials not included

....it’s a start !

....oh well, so it goes sometimes,,,,,btwn 2 job possibilities falling thru, my Mom going into the hospital dec 29th, my own illness(es) thru out jan 2006—all combined to make this class not possible right now. [ sigh ]

....ah well, there’s always spring session. i Will make this class happen sooner or later…. Till then, back to dabbling with my pens & notebooks…

Calligraphy Foundations:

Pointed Pen Lettering
Saturdays, 9:30 am – 12 noon
January 28 to April 1, 10 classes
Room S365, AAC Jackson Street Building
Instructor: Marlene Steele
Fee: General Public $160/Discount $144

_Learn a beautiful script based upon the slanted
shaded oval. There will be special emphasis on
the flourishing technique. Students will also
be introduced to some envelope techniques.
This class is geared for the beginning or the
continuing student. (Limit 12, Minimum 8)_

Now, just a few tricky, pesky details:

• Having the Money
• Having the tools
• Having the Time

2 of the three of these kept me from this class Fall Qtr….but i shant be thwarted This Time…!!
