_…have been running behind of the job search updates. After a horribly long long drought from Jan to may 2007, i have no real leads, no prospects. The quite suddenly i had a deluge—many interview and possbile jobs offers…
And i was able to land a PT job thru my one temp agency, as a Call Center Agent at Critical Mass Media—a marketing research company. Great experience for me. Went thru a week of paid training (my favorite kind! :D. passed the two exit exams, and started working about 3 weeks ago. The pay isnt the greatest,,,but it definately adds to my resume for the directions i want to go, as well allows my days to stay free for any possible “job interviews that come along… Like this set-up alot -!

- what have you done before
- can you do it for me again?

So, where ya been, kay ?? At Work. Always at work. Forever & a day at work….
i’m due there right now, actually…(yes, i KNOW its a sunday, yet still, they want at least 10 hours outta me today)
Yeppers, a new job. A good job, an easy job for my clerical/records/attention to detail background. A Really Really REALLY good paying job. The base pay is more money than i’ve ever made in my life. The OT is DOUBLE the amount i ever made in all my years with UC. Its temp to Hire right now, and i could easily see myself doing this for at least a year or so. Especially with being some $15,000.oo in debt—at this pay rate, i could really clean this up relatively quickly. So in basic matters, its an ideal job for the time being…
The only fly in the ointment of plan is the current hours. They are in a end-of the-month, records demand, time crunch. And also in the midst of re-organization on how the data & processing are done. Thus, altho i was only told the job was 8-5pm when i took it, i’ve been asked to do 10 hours days, 6 days a week. And next weekend is a 6am to 6 pm extravanganza! Believe Me, i LOVE overtime hours & pay….its just straining the limits of my sleep disorder. I need at least 1 day a week for total downtime…or things rapidly degenerate with my sleep. And i am very guarded about avoiding One More Hospitalization in my life—i’ve hit my quota, i’m tapped out. No Can Do, ever again.
Sigh. Rich & Exhausted. Poor & excessively well-rested. Dilemmahs, dilemmahs,,,decisions, decisions….
well, just know i miss 43T. I just have no time to give the attention i long to, for now…

in walking in today for an interview for a what i thought would be your std “clerical office-type-assignments”, i a) ran into someone i had not seen in 30+ years, but b) got a great paying job at Amazon.Com—a place i’ve been trying to get my foot in the door for 12+ months !!!
can you see someone like ME , with my heavy book addiction, working at one of the largest book distributers on the plant ??(i mean, my amazon wish list is only like, ummm, 11 pages long….)
Wow,,,these are going to be some interesting, well-paid weeks! And a great time to do some serious Networking—!

...going thru an old section of MSWord files, i came across these results i’d gotten from a career suitability test i’d taken, sometime around 2000 – 2002? Considering all the directions my “Real Job” searches has taken me in the past few years,,,,its intriguing to me to see the areas listed—especially the ones i’ve seriously considered as of late.
i’m marking the ones most feasible in bold
