travel more

As a teacher, I really want to set a good example for my students. I want them to know that the world is open to them. I never had this as a motivation for traveling before, but it’s important to me now.

Starting to think about this more now that spring is here. I really want to go somewhere this summer, although it may not be for as long as I originally hoped. Just feel like I need to branch out again – I hate feeling like I’m becoming stationary.

I don’t know where I want to go just yet. I have a whole list of places I would love to see but I don’t know where to start.

Well I got my passport the other day! Very excited, although I have no immediate plans to go anywhere. At least now, when I make plans, getting a passport is one less thing I have to worry about.

My plan is to go in and get my pic taken and turn in my application for my passport tomorrow. I have no immediate plans to go anywhere but I figure going somewhere over summer would be nice.

I finished the application today for my passport, now I have to make an appointment for a picture and then turn everything in. It feels very exciting even though I have no immediate plans to go anywhere. It makes me happy just thinking of all the places I can go to, now that I have it in my mind to do it.

I don’t really have any immediate plans, but I figure having a passport handy would be good since I often make decisions on short notice. So first step … getting passport.

I took some time off of work so I could figure out what I wanted to do, and where I wanted to live. California is my home and its where I’ll always have my roots, but I really want to venture out a bit. The plan is to spend 2-3 months in Seattle and then travel up to Alaska if time and weather permits. I really don’t have a long list of places I want to go in the world. I’m really just open to whatever strikes me.

I’m a teacher so I get the summers off. My goal is to live in a different place every summer. This summer, my goal is to live in Alaska. I can’t wait!
