it’s all the same. A bike found me, a make and model that I rode years ago. It will be great for short trips around town and will definitely not be doing any racing!

at some of the local bike shops but would rather spend a lot less than the cost of a new one. Haven’t found the right one for me from the used ones advertised yet.
suitable for racing and long-distance riding because the one I pulled out of storage today is not ready for prime time. Too many problems to be effective for real training and racing use. It may get me as far as a 100 km day (metric century) but it is really not right for me.
Craigslist near me seems to have slim pickings at the moment.
I intend to check out the police bike auction but what other good sources of experienced bikes should be considered?
