After travelling to several cities in Europe for some time, it was mighty convenient not to have a car.
Now that I am home again, my car won’t start. So this is really living without a car. Maybe tomorrow it will feel like starting…
btw, parking really is an artform in Europe.
For a round-trip of about 38 km (24 miles) through the city during a smog alert.
It was 31 Celsius (88 Fahrenheit) but the humidex was 39 degrees Celsius (102 Fahrenheit) so it wasn’t the smartest move but it was totally worth it.
How ironic, one of those two days when the car was used, it was used to buy a bicycle!
Using a car less and less (and ultimately not at all) leads one to consider changes. Employment, voluntary activities, leisure and entertainment choices, medical, dental, other healthcare providers, fitness (gym), banking, post office box, grocery shopping habits and other buying patterns and habits are just a few of the items which need to be questioned.
