meet interesting people

So, I am rehearsing for a play and I know no one there! (Well, except Ty!) Everyone is really nice and I have a really good time with them. We’ve only met to rehearse a couple of times and each time I get to know everyone a little better – I like the atmosphere and the laughter from everyone – it’s cool!

Tyson’s parents’ neighbors. They had a new horse in their land and she was too cute not to talk about.The man is a pastor at the local church, and he is a very neat person. He has a lot of interests and has really good advice: “Don’t live a life of regret. If there is something out there that you really want to do, go and do it – if you fall, you won’t fall very hard and you’ll be fine.” He is right – he’s originally from southern California and had horses there, too. He saud the horse he has needs people to ride her, and if I ever want to, just ask! He also said he knew people down there, so when we decide to go, just to let him know and maybe he can help us get settled in over there somehow. That was nice to hear that. The man and his family seem like such nice people. He said he is glad that he moved away from there, but there are things that he misses (like being able to drive in a day to go skiing in the mountains and then go swimming in the ocean). He said Tyson and I would have a great time and that on a fruit tree, you have to go out on the limb to get to the fruit. So, it was nice to hear him talk about all these things – kinda like another motivational gear was turned on in my head. Oh, and he’s had a lot of different professions – just an all around really interesting guy.

He’s pretty funny and always very nice to me and my boyfriend when we visit. He’s also a good businessman, because every day he is there, service is fast and the food is the best in the area – the restaurant has really improved. He’s an all around cool guy, and if I’m ever feeling down, he’ll make me laugh and forget about my problems! He wants us to come next weekend, when they will have a live mariachi band, and he’ll have them play a song especially for us and our friends! The thing is, I want to learn Spanish, too, and I want to find out more about this guy. I bet he’s had an interesting life so far. Either way, I’m still meeting interesting people. :)

I haven’t really thought about it, but I just joined a Roller Derby team here and the girls that I have met are awesome! So, yes I have been meeting interesting people. I also want to start going to stitch nights at the local yarn store and recently I also ran into a person who loves to travel as much as my boyfriend and I do. So.. yes, I guess I could say that lately, I have been meeting interesting people, but let’s see if I can keep this up! Oh, and I want to attend a class one night at school for dining etiquette – I think that would be fun as well!!!

but for some reason this goal has taken a backseat to finding a better job and trying to save money for the big move… I will get to it soon enough! I have to get out of my shell. It’s driving me bonkers.

I keep meeting cool people, even though it is online. I want to mingle more outside physically. I’m sort of a hermit. I feel safe in my house, cofortable reading a book, taking a bath and relaxing from the day’s hectic shedule. That, and being a poor college student doesn’t give you many nice options… unless a booty club is a nice option, but last time I checked, it wasn’t. There is a really cool jazz place right down the street. I remember the owner, when he had just started out with his business… a booth at the mall with cigars and their accessories. Now it’s a cool, hip intellectual place to hang out at the town square with young jazz musicians and comedians.

Well, either way, I’m going to try to get out more.
