For the past few weeks, I have been diligently going to kickboxing classes 2 times a week. I love them! I also joined a local girls roller derby team. I’m excited, so that makes three times a week, not counting additional work at home with my workout dvds!!

Here I am. Coughing, weezing and wiping my nose. I missed one class last week. And I couldn’t go to the Saturday class either. Nor did I workout to my yoga and pilates dvds (wondering if those are ever coming out of their wrappers…) I am officially sick. I have a feeling that it is sinusitis, as is the case this time of year, especially with Tennessee’s drastic rollercoaster/pendulum weather changes.
When I blow my nose the inside creakes like an old, haunted pirate ship. (Seriously, you may laugh, but it’s the most accurate description.) I can feel my nose expanding from the stench of cigarettes in the office, too. ::sigh:: I’m so healthy. I wonder if I should say that I am a smoker on my doctor visit forms (secondhand, at least…) Hopefully, soon I will have another, better job and I will be on the road to healthyness!
I don’t feel like doing much of anything and last weekend was spent completely indoors, void of any calorie burning activities, except constant hacking, blowing my nose and the half calorie that it will take to heal the outside of my poor, cold-torn nose.
Ok, folks. I am lazy as well. Tonight’s kickboxing class is still up in the air, though I do feel better afterwards, but I have never done this while ill (been ‘ill’ since last Wednesday…) But I am feeling better, so I might take a shot at it. Just scared that I will be left bolting for the bathroom every minutes, glove over a waterfalling nose… though, I could bring my box of puffs and a little trash bag…I don’t want to get anyone sick either. I might sit this one out and while my beau goes, I might do some yoga or pilates at home. (Finally get the wrapper off of one of those dvds.)
So…. I really enjoy Monday classes, too. Either way, I don’t want to contaminate the class to whatever it is I have. ::sigh:: yoga it is.

Last week I went to kickboxing Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning!!!!! Let’s see if I can keep it up. I already had to miss Monday this week, but I was seriously tired (very busy weekend where I got a lot done) and would probably die if I went. But, I’m hoping to make it up with a pilates DVD Friday night. _ I thought I was going to die in yesterday’s class. The instructor said if you miss a class, the next one you go to is usually a lot harder on you… I don’t want to miss anymore classes!
Let’s see if I can keep this up. It would be so awesome if I could. It feels so good to work out, you feel more limber and full of energy afterwards.

from “tone up and exercise more.” I feel that I am too vague with my goals. If I can just get to the point I will know what to do and then, I think, I will reach my goals faster and waste less energy and time trying to do so!
So, my new goal is to work out AT THE VERY LEAST 3 times a week. This shouldn’t be difficult for me. I don’t go to school anymore, I am getting a membership at a karate place for their kick-boxing class, that I enjoy a lot, I’m always laughing there! My friend from work goes and my boyfriend is signing up, too – so the three of us can be a great support system for each other – and there are about 3-4 different days of the week where they offer class. Plus, I have yoga and pilates DVDs, my own mat, ball, 2-pound weights and blocks, so I’m set. What’s holding me back?
Me.
My mind, set on the fact that I can’t do something. Well, this time I am! I can’t wait to get in a habit (they say it takes 12 weeks or so before you can do something as habit). So, I am marking my calendar and soon I will be able to say that I have reached this goal!! ^_-

I just bought two dvds from Wal-Mart – one for yoga and the other for pilates. I also bought two yoga blocks and a pair of small, 2-pound dumbells. Now if I can just find the time at home to add in an extra work out every now and then! Hopefully, I’ll have some more time Thursday!

This stuff kicks your butt! I went with a friend last Wednesday and I felt sooooooo good afterwards – like I wanted to run in a marathon or speed clean my house. LOL. I want to sign up for these classes and keep going with her, because that way we can make each other go! She has her own awesomely pink boxing gloves (we get to take our anger out on water filled, padded punching bags – arrrg!) I think I may get myself a blue or green pair (perhaps aqua or something.)
We are planning on going agin this week, if they will still be open (‘cause of X-mas)

I went to the gym this last weekend. Worked hard, too! Came home and then relaxed. Now I gotta lay off the junk food and keep going to the gym. I was hoping this semester’s rock climbing and scuba classes would help too! (Was James Bond out of shape – no he wasn’t!)

I’m occasionally able to make it to joga or run outside. Today I will try to run. I want to add push ups and sit-ups for rainy days. Maybe buy a tae-bo or joga/pilates dvd…hmmm…
