we are taking long walks. It’s over 2 miles to the high school, and last week we walked all the way there and back. We decided to ‘pick up’ the older two from Fencing camp (very cool activity) so we took the younger two with us.
It’s always good to be outside with family.
We plan to do this again at least once a week until camp is over in July.
The whole family now has roller blades, and several times a week we are all out rolling around the block. Made it 2 or 3 times around. Most recent outing had to stop at 2 ‘rounds when my ankles started hurting. But at least I’m moving.
I’m not comfortable yet, and everyone but me has fallen at least once to some injury (all scrapes) so I am cautious. I’ll keep this up until I’m comfortable at speed (I keep letting myself slow down becuase I’m not comfortable going too fast)
If this gets more fun, I may change the goal from running to skating (and increase the distance)
