Once upon a time 4 weeks ago

there was a beautiful amber castle in the depths of the Baltic sea. It belonged to Jurate – the mistress of the sea. Jurate cared for and ruled over every creature of the sea and every drop of the water. Even the tiniest worm or smallest fish could not be happier – everyone lived in peace and friendship. Once Jurate heard that a fisherman called Kastytis catches her fish and takes them away from the sea. The angry goddess rose to the sea surface to speak to the fisherman. The young fisherman could not believe his own eyes, when he discovered that among his catch there was the goddess of the sea. Furious words of the goddess soon ceased for she liked the young fisherman. Jurate invited Kastytis to see her amber castle. Kastytis spent many joyful days in the underwater castle and soon forgot about his ship, his mother and the sunny beach. All his eyes saw was the most beautiful goddess. The thunder god Perkunas one day saw from his heavenly throne that Jurate was spending happy days with a mortal man and a great rage shook him. Perkunas shot a fire arrow straight to the amber castle and broke it in crumbs of amber. The fisherman Kastytis who dared to fall in love with a goddess lost his life. The goddess herself was chained to a rock underwater where she still weeps for her beloved Kastytis. You can still find small amber tear drops on the sandy sea shore…

I see…I’m always amazed at the faces of people and animals I meet on a daily basis.

Come, let’s away to prison:
We two alone will sing like birds i’ the cage:
When thou dost ask me blessing, I’ll kneel down,
And ask of thee forgiveness: so we’ll live,
And pray, and sing, and tell old tales, and laugh
At gilded butterflies, and hear poor rogues
Talk of court news; and we’ll talk with them too,
Who loses and who wins; who’s in, who’s out;
And take upon’s the mystery of things,
As if we were God’s spies: and we’ll wear out,
In a wall’d prison, packs and sects of great ones,
That ebb and flow by the moon.

“You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon.”

Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don’t have a good partner, you’d better have a good hand.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.

Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.
