I didn’t start doing this regularly until I got married. Even though I don’t have children yet I suddenly realized with all the pressures of owning a home and working full time etc that they had a LOT on their plates. all I could see as a kid was what I didn’t get or what we didn’t do…but never how much they sacrificed to give me all that I did have. So I started thanking them…every time I think of something…even something little…I make sure they know how much I appreciated it. I don’t want to lose them and suddnely have regrets of what I should have said or done…and my biggest obsticle has been my pride…why? who knows….but the pride’s gotta die..because the other side far out weighs any reason not to step out and make my true feelings known to them.
