If you’re just visiting and can enjoy the “magic” of a winter wonderland and don’t have to drive anywhere then yes it’s worth doing…. HOWEVER if you have to live here…...it can lose a lot of it’s sparkle. I love the snow and I love Winter, I honestly do….but shoveling tons of it depending on how much drifting you get and driving in brown, salty, sandy, rocky, icky muck is not enjoyable at all. Especially when the dare devils in front of you on the road don’t know how to drive safely in such conditons and so you have to avoid them as they spin out of control. Plus it gets all over your clothes when you walk in the muck no matter how slowly you walk and it’s just no fun.
Oh, one more thing…......winter on the East coast doesn’t officially start till January and runs full fore till April, and even May. :(
To put it briefly, L-O-N-G Winters, Late+short Springs,Short Summers, and VERY short Beautiful Autumns. Then back to the L-O-N-G Winter again…..........
