find new music

So against my concert goal, I went to see Pele Juju. However, It also has to count against my 43 artists, because I had never heard them before.

They are way more rock than folk (or at least in concert they are!)

It’s an 8-piece, all girl, world-rock band. They’ve been separated for 8 years, and recently came back together. During their concert, they said that they got back together to come up to AK, but according to their website, they have a few California concerts planned after they get back home. grin

They only have one song listed on iTunes, but they’ve got four on their website, for free downloading. :)

Rock on the Net

I’ve always wondered what makes a song hit the “top of the charts” So I went looking on line. I didn’t find a lot of answers, but I did find some great sites that are posting today’s top hits. I’m always looking for new artists, and it’s fun to stay in the contemporary music scene.

In the last year, I’ve become familiar with several new bands (new to me) and I think from here, I’m going to start documenting some of them. :)
