My bike is out of retirement! 2 years ago

DH had done some work on my bike to make it easier and better to rid e- so I had to take it for a spin! First time post opp – and to be honest first time in about 3 years. DH followed on behind in case I had trouble – but we managed 5 mins into the forest over the motorway bridge – and 5 mins back! I was quite happy for a first attempt.

The Fit Ball is pumped up!! 2 years ago

It is a bit smaller than the one I use at the gym – but what do you expect for something like £2.50 from Tesco – it is a Tesco Value fitball – so when I pop it as I no doubt will I will get a more robust one!! I just wanted to see if I would actually use it at home.

I did do my gym trip today – 12 mins Level 3 doing hills on the bike (3 mins cooldown) then 10 mins x train aerobics on the cross trainer – then all the fitball hip strengthening bits – although I did have to go to bed for a rest after the exercise!! Oops.

WI tonight – a talk from Nene Valley Organic Vegetable people about their fruit/veg boxes – I don’t think I can quite bring myself to get vege boxes – I think that might be a step too far fo rme!

The Smoothie Maker arrived - and is fabulous 2 years ago

WeeblyGirl and I just tried our own recipe out and it was lovely!

This is called Banana & Raspberry surprise (as Weebly Girl doesn’t like these 2 fruits and was amazed they were in there and she STILL liked it)

1 cup Exotic Juice
1 cup Apple Juice
4 Large Strawberries
1 Small Banana
8 Raspberries
Ice Cubes

It was really yummy and WeeblyGirl is now starting up a recipe book.

And from now on I will be having smoothies for breakfast until the novelty wears off!

Getting back on track.... 2 years ago

...today I ordered a smoothie maker – as about the healthiest thing I eat is wizzed up strawberries, raspberries and bananas, and the liquidiser broke last month.

Also I bought a fit ball today so I can do the gym exercises at home between visits. Just need to get it pumped up.

I am going to the gym 3 times a week and either swimming and doing the strengthening exercises – or swapping the swimming for 10 mins on the bike and 10 mins doing aerobics on the cross trainer. This is making no impact so far on my size and waistline – but my hip is stronger so hopefully time will bring the results I want.

Continuing to plan 2 years ago

I did my Monday Gym and Swim session today – cycling, cross trainer (although it kept turning off as I was moving too slowly!) and swimming.

Physio appointment is tomorrow – with someone who has a great repuation. Roll on nomral walking and full fitness.
