This week, my goals have been to have enough water to drink at work (my employer has horrible soft water that is not drinkable, therefore any water must be purchased in the vending machine or brought in from home) and a healthy afternoon snack. I know that I’m hungry around 3 pm, so instead of sitting there and feeling as though my hunger is some kind of failing on my part (Parents, stop making your children feel ashamed for being hungry) I’m going to plan for the need to eat and make decisions accordingly. Wendy’s has little mandarin orange cups that are really tasty and only a dollar. Yesterday, my snack was a bowl of Special K Red Berries (brought from home) with a half pint of skim milk (vending machine), which was really perfect and filling. However, today? No snack. I’ll have to remember to pick up something on my lunch hour.
