be nicer to my mom

You know, this might just be the hardest thing on my list. Seriously. Who would have thought it?

I had a business trip to exotic Schaumburg, Illinois last week. During my absence, my mother called my work phone and got the message that I was not in the office. She called my sister and said “I haven’t talked to Weetabix since she left Christmas early with a headache. And now I finally give in and call her and find out that she went to Germany. I never know anything!” It was funny, but at the same time, I haven’t talked to her since Christmas? Wow.

I called her back, left a message, then she called me back and we talked. It was pleasant and we laughed about the Schaumburg thing. She didn’t ask anything of me directly, sort of hinted that she wanted me to pay for my brother’s driver’s ed (I did offer to pay some of it, but then she said that she’s got the money and wants to do it but didn’t want me to be mad if I had really wanted to pay for it… um, ok).
