get a driving license

That’s going well, getting really good marks to all the partial practice tests so far… The class is running til end Jan., after that I’ll take the actual test.
It’s going pretty slow as it’s aimed at foreigners with a low enough level of Dutch, but it’s every week, meaning I actually have to study on a regular basis, which I wouldn’t have the discipline to do otherwise… So it’s working for me:-)

My evening school has a “Dutch language for the driving theory test” class starting in September, so that might be just the thing for me:-) I emailed them for info, so I’ll see what the details are…
It sounds more interesting (and useful!) than learning all the stupid grammar anyway :-)

When we were in New-Zealand my boyfriend had to do all the driving cos I can’t drive at all… He didn’t complain about it or anything, but I felt what I was missing. Also for everyday life, I always have to ask him to bring me it’s a pain… Well for some stuff I can take the bus or tram but it’s not always practical out of the city centre…

I have an ID card issued in France, a passport issued in Ireland, and I’m gonna get a driving license issued in Belgium… if the cops pull me over for speeding they’re gonna think they caught a spy!!!

I’m doing this as soon as I’m finished those busy projects I should be working on now instead of being on 43Things!
Hmmm… that should be in 2-3 weeks hopefully… I should really do some work though…

Went to Belgium for work last week and everybody was driving… Actually they’re all pretty much my age and have been driving for more than 10 years!!! I feel kinda lame…

Now that I won’t spend all my free time looking for a place it’ll be a bit less hectic so I should get started on this…

Got a new Rules of the road book in the post (now that I had almost finished reading the previous one!)
Ah well, hopefully this one will be better explained, and with European integration and all that, the actual rules will be closer to the French rules which I can more or less remember…

I would actually love to have a car and drive myself around… I just can’t be bothered putting in the effort of learning how to do it!!!
I know that’s a bit lame… but I’ve got loads on my mind at the moment so a magazine or novel sounds more appealing than a driving theory booklet… I am supposed to “try and relax a bit more”, after all…

It’s only a small booklet after all, and as my mom says, lots of idiots have passed their driving test, so there’s no reason why I wouldn’t…
