I originally scheduled my test date over two years ago though due to extenuating circumstances, I was unable to take the test at that time. However, I FINALLY rescheduled my test yesterday afternoon for March 5th, 2010. I have waited far too long and really just need to get this monkey off my back. There will be massive loads of studying up until then and I can only hope that I will be well prepared come March. Wish me luck!

I still haven’t gotten much better in regards to procrastination and my National Certification for massage therapy, though I have at least made an effort to get back into practice.
This coming weekend I will be applying for my Massage Technicians license for my county (which still requires completion of a 500+ hour massage therapy program from an accredited institute.) This requires a request for approval at the county’s courthouse for a practitioners license, including a $100.00 fee, fingerprinting, and photographing for the national registry of practicing licensed therapists.
Technically, this could be an avenue out of testing, though only for the short-term. My license will only be good for this one county in Virginia. I still plan to complete my National’s and hope to do so within the year. (Sooner than later!)
...Procrastination is a very unfortunate and adamant quality in my life. (If you take a moment, you’ll notice of my “Things” to complete, there are several regarding procrastination and time management. Eek.)
I have FINALLY decided that I have waited around for far too long (realized this 12 months ago) and have signed up for my NCBTMB Exam. With the New Year, I plan to begin actively pursuing my certification once again and will complete CEU courses in earnest, so that come 2 years from now when re-certification rolls around, I will have not only completed all necessary obligations, but will have also managed to improve upon my procrastination trait.
I hope.
