Well, since I last checked in, 5 Femoral lines logged (probably more), 9 Subclavian Lines, and 3 Internal Jugulars. With a little help from the ultrasound and a lot of help from my senior residents, I think I’m getting the hang of things.
I can place a line in a non-urgent setting. I’ll consider this goal completed when I’m able to throw in a line during a resuscitation.

Actually got a good attempt in while I was on the floor. Unfortunately, while I was able to find the Femoral vein, I was had trouble threading the catheter and needed back-up. I’m a little disappointed I haven’t jumped on any more central lines since I’ve been in the Emergency Department. Soon enough, I suppose. I’ve managed a couple of EJs, but yah, I have to learn.
