First Step- $500.00

I’ve never been good at saving money. There is always something that needs the money that flows through our home. It takes a small fortune to feed this family, and even though I am not a big shopper, there is always something that needs to be taken care of… a car repair, family haircuts, doctors visits, etc.
I realize, however, that I have the ability to change the fact that I’ve never been able to save a substantial amount of money. Rather than be vague about the goal, I am setting an amount. I will work towards saving $500.00. I plan to open up a savings account to help me in this process.
I want to have the money saved by September 1, 2008.
