We’ve tried the weekly thing before…and it’s just too hard to do that often so we usually end up frustrated and quiting. We’ve decided that we are going to shoot for once a month…alternating months as to who’s turn it is to plan it. June is going to be my month…I have a few possible ideas, but I’d love to hear suggestions…anyone have one?

not to say we don’t spend a lot of time together…but it’s usually just hanging out at home…which I enjoy too, sometimes I just wish that there were less ‘distractions’ when we are hanging out at home.
is going on a camp-out with the scouts this weekend, perhaps we’ll have the opportunity for a date night while he is away.
you could say we had a ‘stay in’ date night…we huddled up under a blanket together on the couch and watched a football game. Not that we don’t regularly watch sports…but usually we’re in seperate seats on our laptops or reading or something…so to put away everything else and just be right there with each other was special and out of the ordinary for us.
as a date night really…but hubby and I did make time to go out to dinner last night together…a sit down dinner. Granted a lot of the conversation was simply about our dog who just came home from a 2 day stay at the animal hospital…so not exactly date-type conversation…but it was one on one time together.
there will be no kids at home, so perhaps we can make a date night then.
take my hubby out to dinner tonight for his birthday, but he isn’t feeling very well, so I guess we will have to make it tomorrow night instead…but I look forward to it because I love spending time with him and I enjoy doing nice things for him.
I hope to work on making time for this goal. There has been a lot going on in our lives lately and I think that making some time for some ‘date nights’ will be a really beneficial thing for us both. I will have to look for some inexpensive ideas since I’m struggling some in that area at the moment…but surely I can come up with something if I think about it and keep my ears open for things going on around town.
but I was very thankful to have it! My hubby and I took our son and went to the movies and out to dinner…ok, so it wasn’t the best movie…as a matter of fact, we all agreed it was pretty lame…but I really didn’t care because I got to sit between my two favorite guys and held hands with my hubby for most of the movie…I could have been watching paint dry for all I cared!!
but we have been making an effort to find time to really talk and communicate with one another…and we have had a few impropmtu dinners out and things so we are kinda doing it. I’m going to put more thought and planning into finding more structured time that’s just for us to re-connect.
