this passage daily and part of my prayers each day is asking God to shape me into the woman that he wants me to be for I know that will fulfill this goal.

more time daily in prayer and asking God to shape me into the person that He wants me to be…which is essentially what this goal comes down to…being the woman that God wants me to be rather than the one that I want to be. I know that He has much bigger plans for me than I could possibly have for myself!
daily. I know that it is a worthwhile goal and I continue to ask God’s help in becoming the kind of woman and the kind of wife that He wants me to be.
reading not only these passages, but also the rest of the book of Proverbs. I find so much wisdom and direction for many areas of life in those pages. I’m re-reading some of the same passages over and over and asking how I can apply them to my life daily. It has been a good self-discovery journey. Some parts have been painful to read, knowing how short I have fallen in those areas before…but I know that my God is a gracious and forgiving God and that if he forgives me then I must forgive myself and move forward asking for God’s guidance in my thoughts, words and actions TODAY.
As one of the long-timers in my AA meetings always says…don’t worry about anything but today…one eye on yesterday and one eye on tomorrow will make you cock-eyed today.
being the kind of woman and the kind of wife that God wants me to be, and I know that with His help that I can be exactly that…so it is my daily prayer to achieve this goal…because I know that without God this is not possible but through God everything is possible.
But I’m going to start with re-reading this passage over and using it as a basis for some journaling…and try to find some concrete ways to put it into practice.
I certainly want to be that kind of woman…and I’m working at it a little more every day.
is my favorite goal, then I guess the best way to describe this one is as being the one I think is most important. What could be better than following God’s directions for being a wife? Are there any better instructions? I think not.
I believe that my love for my husband makes me work hard to be a better wife all the time. I’m always trying harder…not because he expects me to but because I want to…because he deserves to have a Proverbs 31 kind of wife! There are still a few things that I personally have identified as areas I’d like to do even better in…but all in all I think I do a pretty good job at this.
I feel incredibly blessed to be married to someone who loves me just as I am…that I don’t need to change to make happy…who thinks I’m good enough like I am. Funny thing is that makes me want to be even better.
