Start a Board Game Group

Well again I tried to meet folks on Craigs list for playing board games. Two folks replied and I answered them with very nice funny, honest emails. They never answered me back. I guess no one wants to be friends with me, so I am giving up on this goal and probably the the about making new friends coz I don’t know how to do it. I obviously am not the type of person people want for a friend.

I put an ad on Craig’s list, with only one response and that woman wanted to play games like Pictionary and Charades. With my anxiety disorder those kind of games are out of the question. I get too stressed with time limits. And I certainly can’t perform in front of people. I want to play board games because of the camaraderie. Blithering, bickering, bitching about life. Enjoying the company of intelligent individuals, in person. Get high and have fun. My next step is to work up the nerve to put up a notice on the community bulletin board. Problem with that is that I live in a community full of drug addicts and young single moms who have very little free time.

I hope one day to have friends who meet at least weekly to play some fun old and new board games. People keep getting them for me as gifts but no one wants to play them. I have several Trivia Pursuit Versions. Scrabble, Monopoly, Sorry, etc. I just don’t have the friends to play them.
