X24 has written 3 entries about this goal
so I made a mock up of the first 8 issues (based on a weekly schedule).
It’s more of a comic strip than comic book. I’ve based it on some characters a friend of mine in high school and I created called the StickFig 5. Etremely sophomoric (aka borderline bad taste).
When I make the real ones, I’ll post them on my blog and link them here.
Since high school I have dreamt of working in the comic book field, but for whatever reasons I never followed through with it. I stumbled upon a few websites which are devoted to online comics (namely ComicGenesis and Spider Forest). I knew Marvel had some stuff, but I hadn’t thought much of the idea (after all, I’m used to the original comic book you hold in your hands and read to tatters, unless you’re smart and keep it in Mylar and save it for prosperity.)
Anyway, I’ve had tons of ideas for comics and I figure, hey, if it’s possible to do this and not deal with the crushing, incestuous business that getting into “real” comics is, then why not? What are the odds that I can create a webcomic that isn’t just in the public eye, but actually successful?
Any thoughts, tips, warnings, etc? Let me know.
Now I just have to figure out how to draw something….
