make more friends

I’ve always envied extroverted people, those who have tons of friends and have no problem talking to people; those who text and im people and need more than just a phone.
In my defense, I have a good sense of humor and will often talk to people I don’t know, but I’ve always had a terrible time trying to understand people, how they think, and what’s “normal”. It took my ages to discover that what advertising agencies and clinical psychologists consider normal is actually absurd and that most families are far more like The Simpsons than, say, the Brady Bunch.
Anyway, I need to get out more, meet new and exciting people, get out of my comfort zone and create a “life”...whatever that is.
