a while back, i found this artist who i really found interesting.
his name is brian andreas. this was one of my favorite pieces.
mostly just because i can completely relate with it.
i just swear that that is going to be me one day.

if you cannot read it, this is what it says:
whenever she stood in line at the bank or while waiting for the bus, I noticed her feet. The right always in front & perpendicular to the left just so. Even after 2 children, she still dreamed of being a dancer.
this summer when i was packing up my room to move out of the house i found an “all about me” poster that i made when i was five years old. it said that i wanted to be a ballerina when i grew up.
jan and i went to see the movie step up in theatres this summer as well.
i felt so moved looking at the people dance.
it was incredible. and it ALWAYS makes me feel that way.
the same way i feel whenever i see pictures of ballet.
whether it be the dancers or even just ballet slippers.
in christmas of 2005, i finally saw the nutcracker for the first time.
i have had one of the greatest desires to see that ever since i was probably three years old. the experience was simply exhiliarating. it was such a natural high.
i have flat feet. i always have. it runs in my family.
and now that im older, im a chubby girl.
so obviously i am not fit to be a dancer.
however, i will always dream to be a ballerina.
no matter how old i am.
and one of these days, i will be. <3
