with Merideth and her hubby, Justin. We went over to their place and had pizza and wine and played a crazy board game. Merideth and I got saucy while Justin and Jordan watched episodes of South Park on his computer—haha :) It was totally fun, and I hadn’t seen them in so long, so it was great.
Cheers to good friends and endless vino!

so I decided that it was most appropriate to put it under this goal.
Today I noticed that I have 20 subscribers, and seems like a lot to me; surely my life is not that interesting ;) So, I just wanted to take a moment (and an entry) to thank those 20. Thanks guys, whoever you are!! And luck you to you (and everyone else) in accomplishing your goals :)
EDIT (9/26/07) – One day after I wrote this post, my subscribers dropped to 19. :(
EDIT (10/10/07) – They’re back up to 20! Someone probably felt sorry for me, hahaha…

Friday I had lunch with a friend I hadn’t seen in a LONG time, then Saturday afternoon I caught up with another friend I hadn’t seen in about five months!
Around the 1st of September I’ll be seeing some people who I haven’t seen in more than a year! I love this “keeping in touch” business… :)

for a few hours, and we were going to exchange Christmas presents, so I brought her the one I got for her, but she told me she couldn’t find the one she bought for me (back in August)... ha! I thought it was kind of funny. I really don’t mind – it’s just a present, after all.
We talked boys over spaghetti.. it was nice :)

to see my best friend for about 2 hours yesterday. I won’t see her again until my brother’s wedding at Christmas time, and we wanted to get one last visit in before I flew overseas for the semseter. She paid for my lunch, though.. :)

I joined Facebook, and that actually proved to be a great way to get in touch with friends in South Carolina that I haven’t spoken to since I moved 11 years ago. I guess that’s 1 for Facebook and 0 for Abbie

I’ve decided this is a worthwhile thing to be conscious about because I’m leaving the country for 4 months, and I certainly want to have friends when I come back! Also, since I’m considering the Peace Corps, practice now might come in handy then.
(The picture is of my best friend and I at a day camp in the poorest county of Alabama—that was our job one summer.)
