Read more books

“Books” as opposed to manga & graphic novels. For the past few years I seem unable to read anything without pictures… I really don’t understand it! I have 2 shelves full of books that I HAD to have… some of them it took me years to find… all unread. Time was I read every book as soon as I got my hands on it. But now every time I start a “real” book I can’t get through more than a few pages. I really don’t know why this is… I still read magazines, manga, graphic novels- pretty much anything over a certain ratio of illustrations to text. I know I’ve acquired the attention span of the children I teach- but there has to be more to it than that!
