mom is coming in about 2 hours! DH got safely to his destination and even though we had a huge fight before he left, we’ve got a week to get over it before we need to see each other again.

DH has the opportunity to work out of town for a week coming up. It’s good money. I’m thankful for the overtime and travel money. I’m also thankful that my mom will be here that same week, it’s like God planned it out ahead of time and made sure that everything was taken care of so he could go. Thanks.
Surgery went well. Anesthesia was fine. Everyone has taken very good care of me since I have been home. I am healing well, as far as I know. Thank You, Lord.
Dh has never really said no to me. He may say that I have to wait because we can’t afford it now or now’s not a good time for that, but he’s never said no. I am blessed to be married to someone who so openly supports the things I want to do.
All things are coming together nicely before my foot surgery. Personal appointments like a haircut and the dentist have been easy to schedule, everyone is more than happy to help with anything I need, and the ladies in my Bible study are praying for a speedy recovery.
I’ve lowered my stress level around the house by simply lowering my expectations a bit. (just a bit- no sense letting it all go crazy!) and I’m feeling like this will be a good break from some things that I’ve been a little too intense about.
The weather has warmed up! High 30’s make the snow nice and “packy”- just right for a snowman or snowballs. We all played outside together this afternoon after we went to Sam’s as a family! Great day!
5yo went to worship with me tonight. He clapped along with one of the slow songs and it made me laugh! He snuggled into me for a little while and it brought tears to my eyes.
Our house is old and outdated, but clean, warm and structurally sound. I prayed today for God to take away the feelings of envy and want when I see houses with beautiful kitchens and grand entry staircases. I have a great house from God and it’s filled with people who love me!
FYI- The image pictured above is NOT my house…yet! Maybe one of these days!
I ran into an old friend at the grocery store today! I haven’t seen her in probably a year. I am looking forward to refreshing that friendship…
I believe I blessed someone else today. A driver was stopped in the right hand lane to change a tire. Blowing snow and traffic made his hazard lights hard to see. I thought, “If I can’t see them, no one else can either!” So I pulled up behind and turned my blinkers on to help him be seen.
I was very nervous as we were seriously blocking traffic! I waited until his brother arrived to help him change the tire. I asked God to protect us and I feel good about what I did.
