I know in my head that putting God first in my life should be the #1 priority. I know it. I have heard the sermons. I have listened to the testimonies of people who tell you that their life was a mess until they put God first and now they are living free and easy. My head knows.
But my heart… that’s another story. I have a family. Given to me by God. They call to me. They pull on me. They need and they want and I want to give to them. They beg to be first in my life and I let them. Even though I know it’s wrong. But these little people are here, they’re real, they’re now. They seem to have an immediate need. I know I can take better care of them if would only put Christ first, I’d be more patient and a better example to them.

Top Ten List
I’m a huge list writer! I mean HUGE! I write everything down- shave legs, put out trash, do dishes, you name it! I’ve been known to write things on the list after I do them just so I can cross them off!
Well, I was watching Joyce Meyer last night and they were talking about lists. And how you can’t live and die by them. I think I might start to limit my lists- maybe just 10 things. The Top Ten. The big things. Just the priorities.
( I mean, c’mon! I write down shower and shave legs?! Like I’m going to forget to do that when I’m in there unless I write it down! Really? )
I think my lists help me stay on track, but I can see how they may be a bit too much. If I focus on the priority things I can allow myself more freedom.
