Rocks. Shells. Metals. Plants. Seeds. Stamps. Glass. Coins. Beads. Figurines.
I want a Wunderkammer.
A “Wonder Closet” or “Chamber of Wonders,” the Wunderkammer were the first museums. Philosophers and explorers during the Enlightenment used them to house all manner of curios, from the natural world, history and far away cultures.
I’ll build one, or two: my portable, transportable cabinets of curiosity.
