Oct-Dec • Finalize genotype analysis and write manuscript

Year 2 2010

-Flow cytometry to measure expression of KIRs, LIRs and NKG2s on NK cells
-Write manuscript
-Conduct statistical, genetic & cellular analysis linking KIR, LIR and NKG2 expressing NK cells responses to CMV in HIV patients responding to ART
-Measure perforin/granzyme release, CD107a upregulation following cytotoxic function on CMV-infected fibroblasts, and cytokine production (IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-10, and IL-13).
-Write manuscript

Year 3 2011

-Measure immune/inflammatory markers produced during CMV-specific CD8+ T cell immune response & assess CD8+ T cell function, quantity, diversity, and differentiation to achieve Aim d)
-Analysis of results and manuscript preparation
-Complete literature review & begin thesis writing
