It's time... 7 months ago

I got married 6 months ago, spent a lot of time since then working on my house (wood floors, paint, slate tile, etc.. etc…) and I just got back from my belated honeymoon in Jamaica. It’s time to get into a routine and get in shape. I’ve put on weight since the wedding and I’m not happy about it. My gym is closing this month because they sold the building and I was just about to start GOING again. It’s literally on the same street as my house. So I’ve decided that I’m going to make the whole working out thing this luxury fun experience. My husband and I are joining Concord Athletic Club and Spa which is 150.00 total a month if we join as a couple (It’s like 115 to join by yourself). I think the fact that it’s month to month and that it’s so expensive (even after the 700.00 a year that my company pays toward a membership for me) that I can’t just say Oh well, it’s free and I’m signed up for a year anyway, I’ll have to realize that if I don’t actually go, I’m wasting 150.00 every MONTH and that if I don’t go, I’ll have to end my membership. I think that the money will be a motivator for me because on top of all of the wedding and house expenses that we’re paying off, we don’t just have 150.00 a month to throw around without feeling it. Also, since it’s such a nice club and it’s not overcrowded, I think that will be another motivator. Also we’re hoping that we’ll motivate eachother since we’re both joining and one thing that I’ve found has worked for me before (I hate cardio, I have exercise induced asthma!!) to keep me on the treadmill is setting up my workout time to when a show I love is on one of the channels on the tv’s at the gym and at concord they have the screens on each machine, so I’m looking forward to that. We’re going tomorrow after work to make sure it’s still awesome and then we should be signing up this weekend!!
