Now I don’t believe in eating pasta cold but my sister needed a hand with the food preperation for her son’s christening.
They gave me the ingredients and I put it together. I was surprised at how easy it is. Maybe potato salad could be that easy too.
I can’t believe I am almost through the year and have only gotten up to 13… When I originally set up this goal I thought it would be done before the end of the year. To reach that, I would have to make something new every day. Realisically doing that with a small baby would be quite a feat and one I don’t think I could achieve.
Ok I did buy the Vol Au Vent but then again I haven’t attempted pastry since I was a kid.
I grilled the chicken, cooked the asparagus in butter but made sure it was still crunchy. I made the white cheese sause and combined everything into the Vol Au Vent casing and put it in the oven.
For a first attempt it was amazing. The asparagus was perfectly cooked but still crunchy My tip to myself is to leave the Vol Au Vent in the oven a little longer.
Yep it was a White Wings packet mix but I am adding it anyway.
i microwaved the food and then used the stick blender to puree it.
This was so yummy, even I could eat it. I hope Monie likes it too.
From a receipe from my sister using her oranges and my mothers free range eggs.
This was super yummy but next time I need to use cheaper cuts so that it is even tastier.
is baking in the oven.. I hope it tastes as good as it looks.
The recipe isn’t up on the website as yet but you can find others at www.taste.com.au
I have been making large batches of spaghetti sause and turned it into lasagna… much yummier then the store brought product.
This was such a yummy dish and made a change from the usual beef hot pots. I will be making this again before the Australian Winter is through.
If I am ever invited to lunch at someones place during the cold months and need to bring something this dish will be it.
