adopt a soldier

I now run the Delano group of the operationminnesotanice.com volunteers. I have a soldier, but also, I organize. I’m learning a lot, and it’s really fun. Yeah!

i sent off my first care package today.

candy, suntan lotion, handheld puzzle games, cards, etc.

i’m signing up to start a chapter of the club in delano. wow. i’ve totally ‘gone country’ – but, i can’t imagine how hard it is for the troops that are deployed and not getting any/much correspondence from home.

yeah! i’ve achieved my first completed of my 43 things.

i sent a letter to let Scott, my adoptee, that i got him and that i’m going to be sending care packages. yeah!

any ideas on good stuff to send the deployed people in iraq? fun stuff?

went on operation military pride and got signed up.

so, now i’ve got to get a care package together… this’ll be fun!
