Glen is the author of the ground breaking selfhelp diary “Map for Life” and the originator of the purpose club. Glen has established in one volume, all the age old, tested and proven principles to help you achieve your personal success no matter where you are in life
I met Glen today and we had an hour discussion on how to best use Map4life. For Glen the important thing is is that life management precedes time management. He felt that the planning tools biggest contribution is to help people to lift themselves out of the rat race and do the things that are important to them. It was a fruitful discussion and a inspiration for me to apply MAP4LIFE more effectively in my life. He said that I had some good methods already in place for my own planning. We departed with the aim of keeping contact and to keep living with purpose.
During the morning’s breakfast meeting Glen gave all the participants the following definition of a person of purpose:
“People of purpose have the right attitude and belief backed with courage and the determination to succeed. They enthusiastically focus on the goals ahead that give them hope and inspire them to enjoy life’s journey.
They knock on doors others avoid and A.S.K. to enter. Known as Line-crossers because they step through the doors with a mission that enables them to say NO to distractions and to overcome all obstacles they encounter. Their passion for their purpose means they never quit but bounce back with a contagious resillience.
They sow the seed that comes naturally to them through exercising their God given gifts and talents. They always seek first to understand then to be understood.
With their eyes firmly on their vision that is based on carefully selected values they push forward gaining wisdom from those who have walked before them. They make a habit of going the X-tra mile in all they do. They choose to say YES to their unfolcing future. Beyond the comfort zone is wherethey thrive.
Be a person of purpose and pursue it with passion and perserverance for life.”
