Hubby has a mandarin lanquage learning CD or DVD (not sure which) that he got when he first started teaching. He had a lot of Manadarin speaking students and he wanted to be able to speak with them. Apparently, their English was pretty good so he never used the CD. He’s offered to give it to me if I’m still interested and so I will get the CD, give it a whirl and see if I like it. This is so cool because I feel I’m taking the 1st steps toward accomplishing a goal!

I live in Monterey Park where the community is mostly Chinese. It’s getting harder and harder to shop, eat out, etc. because everyone here speaks Mandarin. I’d like to take lessons and think I will check into ELACC to see if they offer any classes or maybe the city. If so, I’ll take classes beginning in winter.
