1)Surviving the weekend. I had such a long weekend at my job working crazy hours. I felt absolutely dead by the end of last night. But, I made it through without snapping or killing anyone and my bosses said I was doing a very good job (which they never do. Normally they are quite mean) so, it was worth it. It will be a nice paycheck, I’m sure ;)
2)Skipping physics. I am still so tired from my weekend, though. I’m in no mood for physics. My physics class will have already started by now but, I shot my professor and email and decided to not go to that class. I’m going to do my observations and go to Spanish…just not physics. lol.
3)Meeting with my lesson plan partner. I hate my lesson plan partner. He is so unmotivated and doesn’t understand anything. Our lesson plan is next Thursday and we haven’t even met yet. Luckily, I got him to agree to meet me today. So, hopefully things will go smoothly and we’ll start figuring out what we want to do.

1)Observing Mr. Daly. Oh, how I do so miss his class. Getting the opportunity to sit in his classes once more really brings me back. I love him and I love his class. He has such a dry sense of humour, just how I like it! I love to talk to him afterward too. He gives great advice and he’s just a pleasure to talk to even if he is a little tired and apathetic. I love to bring a smile to his face :)
2)Bumping into one of my old math teachers. Since I’m observing at my old high school, I get the chance to bump into a lot of my old teachers. Today I bumped into one of my old math teachers! Even though I hate math, he taught very well and I remember a lot of the techniques that he taught. I thought back to all the things we have been talking about in intro to education lately and how, when a student comes back and gives a compliment to the teacher, that is absolutely what they live for. So, I thought I would try it and see his reaction. I told him that I enjoyed his class more than any of my college math classes and I remember more of what he taught me than what they have in terms of good technique. I could see him beaming and trying in vain to suppress his smile. We chatted for a bit before I took my leave but, I’m glad I was able to make his day and it made me happy to make him so happy :) Also, I was surprised he remembered me when he saw me! I guess it really goes to show that students can make an impact on a teacher. I had always been friendly to him and we would talk a lot after class when I had him. He had me twice during my high school career. Today, when he saw me he went “Oh God!” It made me so happy that he recognized me! So, we both made each other’s day!
3)Delicious cafeteria muffin. Before I went to my Spanish test today, I stopped by the cafe and grabbed a muffin. I love their muffins so much and today I tried a chocolate chip one. It was as great as the other varieties! Haha! Sometimes, these muffins are the pinnacle of my day!

1)Having someone to hang out with during my break. I have a fairly long break between my two classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays but there is no sense in me going home so I normally just stay in the library. I have both of these classes with this one girl, Sam. She asked if I wanted to have lunch with her during the break and of course I said yes. Then we went to the library and we chatted. Surprisingly, we have a lot more in common than I thought. It was nice to be with someone during that break.
2)Hearing the news that I will be getting a new laptop sometime this week. My grandpa buys a lot of computers and, every so often, he will give them away to someone in the family (for example, the lappy I’m on now is from him HAHA!). My laptop isn’t broken or anything but, I guess my mom talked him into giving me a newer one and then this laptop being a back-up/ one for my mom. I’m not complaining! Haha! But, I will miss this laptop.
3)Getting back on livemocha. It has been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to get on this site. I love livemocha and I love helping people with their entries on there. I forgot how much fun it was! I did a bunch today and I got to talk to some nice people as well as be requested to correct/review a bunch of work. Love it!

1)Observations. I was so happy with observing one of my classes today! I observed my old English teacher from high school and today he did a lesson on David Sedaris (my favourite author). I LOVED IT! He and I share a similar sense of humour and I feel like only he and I truly got the humour while all the other students were like “wtf???” It was great!!
2)Funny Spanish class. So, there is this girl in my Spanish class who has a similar sense of humour as me and, if she starts to laugh, so do I and vice versa. She is a black girl, a little heavy set, and a HUUUUGE afro (like, I mean seriously big!!!!). In our class, we’re not allowed to laugh, especially when someone is talking but one of my friends, Mark, has such a dry sense of humour and, when he reads, it’s sounds SOOO ridiculous! I don’t know if it’s on purpose or not but, in any case, it’s funny to hear him and then have our teacher correct him every second (our teacher is a quack, too. It’s such a weird class). So, Michelle (the girl) started to giggle a little, then I started, then she burst out and then me!! I couldn’t stop! I was bright red, I know it!!! Mark’s a good sport though and knew I didn’t mean it but, I couldn’t stop laughing after that! It was one of those “you have to be there” moments but, DAMN! It was so funny and made the class enjoyable, for sure!
3)Stamp shopping. I went to the post office today because I had to send an airmail and I ended up buying a bunch of stamps. I bought 20 international stamps, 20 regular stamps, and I got a bunch of airmail stickers. HAHAHA! I wasn’t even expecting to do that but, I’m glad I did! Haha!

November 14, 2010

1)Work. Again. Haha! Not much more to say except I am loving being the talking reindeer! Some little girl sang Santa Clause is Coming to Town to me today. I nearly cried it was so cute. I will never forget her! She was really nervous at first when she was talking to me and I didn’t think she would sing when I asked her. I asked because she asked for a something to record her singing on for Christmas. So, I said “Why don’t you sing me a Christmas song?” and she did! She was so brave! I absolutely loved it. It made everything I do worthwhile!
2)Seeing my friend. I haven’t seen my friend at work for a long time now it seems! I got to eat lunch with her today, though. It was such a pleasure to see her and talk to her again. She is such a charm to be around and so funny even when she’s in a bad mood. I hope I get to see her more often now that I’m at work again!
3)Getting my Spanish homework done. I’m such a procrastinator but, I actually got my Spanish homework done before tomorrow when I have the class! I feel good about getting it done since I normally wait to the very last possible minute. But, now I won’t have to worry about it. Thank gosh!

1)Starting Rudolph. I have a job on the weekends to be the Talking Rudolph and it is so much fun. For Halloween I was the talking pumpkin and, apparently, I did such a knock-up job that I got promoted to Rudolph!!! The kids today were great! Very cute and funny. Even the shy ones I found easy to talk to. My job is just to talk so, even if the kids are silent then I will just tell a story. I was nervous to do Rudolph because it is so popular in my town and I thought it would be too busy for me to handle but, I’m really enjoying myself.
2)Getting extra hours at work. Instead of 11-4, I work 11-6 on Sat and Sun! Woohoo 4 extra hours! I need all the hours I can get so, any little bit helps :)
3)Studying during downtime. So, since it is a little early for the Christmas spirit, Rudolph was not SOOO incredibly busy so, in my free time, I was able to study Japanese. Since school has been very busy, I have been falling behind like no one’s business but, I started studying out of this book I’ve had for a while and I find that it is very easy to study from especially in a situation such as being at work. Haha, does that make sense! I do try to study as much as I can but, today at work, I felt like I really study for a solid chunk of time and it felt nice to get back in the swing of things.

November 12, 2010

1)Returning. For real this time. I promise, I will keep up with this. I won’t give up again!
2)Getting accepted into a new lab group. My partner was absent today for my physics lab and I was afraid that I might have trouble finding a new group but, I was welcomed right away by the two people who sit behind me. It took us a long time to get through the lab but, we worked fine together and got it done eventually so, I really can’t complain! But, I will be glad to have my partner back next week!
3)Seeing Pat! He’s such a silly and foolish man. He always tells me he might visit and rarely does and then wonders why I get so angry at him. He gets my hopes up and shatters them; who wouldn’t be upset?? But, even though it was late, he followed up on his word and came to visit me. I know I shouldn’t but I just love him so much when he does that :) I was happy to see him and we had a nice visit. I wish he would never have to leave.

October 13, 2010

1)Fast day. Today went by fast. It was a good thing! If the days go by faster then the weeks go by faster and then this semester gets done faster! Haha! Seriously! I just can’t wait until it’s over! But, this day was fast during the day but slow in the night, just the way I like it! Feels like I have so much more time to myself (even though I don’t!).
2)Seeing my friend in the afternoon. This afternoon, my friend gave me a ring and came over while I had a break from classes. I had to watch my bro and sis so, she did that with me. And then I went out and ran some errands with her for a couple hours, got some lunch, caught up. It was nice. I normally don’t get the chance to do that on my break in the middle of the day so, it was very nice for a change.
3)Doing my rewrites. My English class is being a real pain in the butt. The workload is entirely too much. I am kind of behind (like most of the class is) and, I have a bunch of rewrites to do. Thankfully the teacher is lenient on when we get things in to her but I’m still glad I got it all done. Now to start on the other papers I owe…ugh…this teacher is so disorganized…

October 12, 2010

1)Returning. I haven’t been on here in over a week! I have been so busy juggling my life around that I’ve really had no time to update. So, instead of forcing myself to catch up on the days I missed, I’m just going to start fresh. Sorry for my absence!
2)Getting out of math class. What a dreaded class. He went fast this class so, we finished the lesson early and he let us loose. Thank goodness! I can’t bare to sit in that class for too long and I really was looking forward to going home so, I was super glad.
3)New thesaurus. I bought a new thesaurus yesterday and I love it so much! A million times better than my old one. I feel like I’ve already worn this new one out I’ve used it so much! It’s really lovely and I love to just flip through it even when I’m not looking for a synonym.

October 5, 2010

1)Getting paid. So, one of my friends at school paid me $100 dollars to doa project for him. I didn’t think he was serious about the money at first even if I was serious about holding up my end of the bargain. But, when we got to class, he paid me half of it and said he’d pay me the rest next class. If he pays up, I guess we’ll see. But, either way, I really appreciate it. I am so stuck for money right now. I normally wouldn’t accept such a thing. But, my despiration tells me to put my morals aside, unfortunately.
2)Quiet North Haven library. I went there for an hour before I had to catch the bus back. I forgot how much I love that library more than the one in Long Wharf. It was so quiet, so few people, and I got my work done before the hour which gave me time to write something for fun, which I have been enjoying doing lately. It was worth the trip over.
3)Making a new friend in class. When I met up with my classmates back in Long Wharf before class, a new girl was in our “group”. She was very friendly and we were very similar. It was easy to talk to her. So, now I have +1 friend in math class, which is always great. It seems that talking to people is becoming much easier for me lately, which is a relief. I’m glad I cut the reclusive bullshit out.
