Because the exact center of the Walt Disney World property is in Epcot, marked only by a simple, humble circle in the pavement. The Future World part of Epcot has lots of kinetic sculpture, and a girl in a hula hoop would fit right in with all that spinning motion.
I bought a really good traveling hoop, very sturdy and portable. It breaks down into segments and fits into a yoga-mat bag. Now we just have to find out whether the hoop would be allowed into the park, or stopped at the gate.
