Only three more definite must-see bands: -The Network-Suicide Commando-Aerosmith
I know it’s pretty ambitious wanting to see Aerosmith (are they even still together?) but I should be able to manage the other two as long as I have the cash.

Ah yes, the strangest Eurovision Song Contest winners ever! Got to see them at Download Festival 2005. This was really grat fun, I got to dance around and sing (shout) my little heart out with loads of other fans. They looked really impressive on stage and gave a damn good show considering the limited time-slot they had been allocated. One of the best performances of the weekend, and bonus points for the blood-spurting buzz saw!
Sadly, this was the worst gig I have been to. Maybe it’s because they are my all-time favourite band, and we all know it’s hard for things to live up to their expectations. The main reason this was disappointing for me is because the drums weren’t mic’d up properly and you could hardly hear them. I’m a real drum freak and The Berzerker use speed drumming in almost all their songs. Still, it was well worth going and I’m glad I had the chance to see them. They played my favourite track – Forever – so that almost makes up for some of the other bad factors.
This is the most fun gig I have ever been to. Murphy fans know how to have a good time! Full-on from the very start and they kept the pace up all the way through the gig (even if I didn’t!). Met some great people there, one of whom was a bizarre lad whose name I cannot remember. He had travelled from Wales to Bristol to come and see the show and was having a merry old time. As I was on my own (my friends and I have very different musical preferences) he took it upon himself to be my personal bodyguard for the night. This was much appreciated as the vast majority of people there were huge, muscular men and I almost got myself crushed before he pulled me out :) His parting gift to me was a postcard and a packet of crayons. I had no pockets so I shoved them both in my boot and thanked him. Sadly, the postcard was nowhere to be seen by the end of the night but it was such a fun gig, even with the support bands being as god awful as they were.
Rammstein was the first rock concert I went to, and it sure was a hell of a good way to start! It was in London 2005 and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Such an unreal performance. Met some nice people while I was there and got given glowsticks – yay!
Mortiis has been a favourite of mine for years and I am lucky enough to have seen the band perform live twice. I saw them on their 2005 UK tour in Cardiff, and again on their 2006 UK tour in Bristol. Amazing both times, and the support acts were great as well. I must say one of the main highlights of seeing Mortiis live was standing at the very front all night long and having my face about 3 inches away from his crotch… Photos of the gig here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36953140/
