One of my little tomatoes is DOWN. The stem broke and it’s withered away to nothing. Luckily the other ones are still growing up and they are starting to have buds so I think they will flower soon.

Here are my happy tomatoes. I planted them outside at the weekend and hope they will grow up to be nice & tasty.
I went to the garden centre with my dad at the weekend and stocked up on tomato plants, a grow bag, feed and some other bits & pieces. It’s been snowing(!) on and off over the past week so once the frosts and bad weather have cleared I’ll be planting my little tomatoes outside.
Sadly, all my squashes have died / been eaten since I planted them outside. Been having some really weird weather lately and looks like some slugs got to the remains. Will try again next year but put them somewhere a bit more sheltered, might try something simple like peas or tomatoes.
I thought I’d start off easy on this one as to avoid a huge failure. I planted up some butternut squash seeds and now they have grown big enough to be put outside. I hope they survive out in my garden, the soil isn’t particularly good so I may have to top them up with plant food.
If I have success with the squashes then I’ll start growing more things, maybe tomatoes and peas (I love shelling peas, it’s so inexplicably calming and satisfying).
