I’ve recently read a few more King’s – From a Buick 8, The Regulators, and Blaze. Liked Buick 8 the best, thought the other 2 were ok but lacking something for me, didn’t have the same obsessive draw as some of his others do. I have Insomnia, The Talisman, Faithful, Bag of Bones, and Dark Tower 2 waiting on the bookshelf.

I read Carrie last week – not particularly keen on the way it’s written from multiple perspectives but I am so glad that this story got King his break. And not I can finally let myself watch the movie! Onto Blaze by Bachman/King next.
Finished Gerald’s Game a few days ago and just started reading The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. They’re somewhat similar in style and I love how King can keep the tension and suspense even when there is only one character by themself for basically the whole book. I thought it was cool that Gerald’s Game tied in with Dolores Claibourne, I didn’t fully twig until he mentioned the blackberry bushes but it is so neat how he manages to connect different characters throughout his books. I still have ‘Faithful’, ‘Carrie’, and ‘Bag of Bones’ waiting to be read and looking out for the others I haven’t got yet.
Finished reading the Colorado Kid which is very different to King’s usual style and much quicker to finish than his other books. Liked it but not crazy about it.
I started reading Dolores Claiborne on the train to work this morning and I’m sucked in already – love that gal’s spirit!
I’ve read my way through 48% of this list

My favourites are mainly the short stories and novellas. The Langoliers (from Four Past Midnight) is one of the most gripping stories I’ve ever read, and The Mist and The Long Walk are great as well.
I’m going to start the first of the Dark Tower series next.
