Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

After we got a sewing machine.

I pretty much figured this out. I can sew with a needle and thread in hand but they arent the best stiches. Im well on my way to making wearable clothes (or whatever else I can sew) =] I made a halter but its subject to wardrobe malfunctions so I dont really wear it. Ive made some cute accesories which I use and love so Im glad I did this =]

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WITH THIS GOAL =]

I am so happy!

We just came back from the store and guess what!!

WE GOT A SEWING MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the beginning of so many new things.
Now I can sew with different stiches, it will be alot faster, I can learn sooo much more. I even went to the store and picked out a few clothes patterns and another fabric. Im thinking of making pajama pants. After learning to use the sewing machine I’ll be able to move on to bigger and better things!

I DID IT!!! Plus its hand made :)

Its not perfect but I did it!!!!! My first shirt.
I decided to make it halter. That way I knew it would stay up :] It took a pretty long time since I sewed it by hand but I was able to finish it in about 4 hours.

My mom saw it this morning and she was like wow and asked me if I had used a pattern. [I hadn’t…It was one of those cut and make and see how it turns out.] She was proud!!!!. She even encouraged me to check out some clothes patterns at this store and said we could also check for a sewing machine :). Im SOOOO Happy!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this goal really possible??........

without a sewing machine?????

I tell myself I can do without one but the harder I think, the less possible it seems.
What do you think? Possible or NOT Possible.

What shall I make??...

Im thinking a dress would be great!
Mayble I will start with a skirt, or shorts… a swimsuit would be nice…=D….Im going shopping on Saturday. Fabric, sew kit, and whatever else I need :]
